Our Mashariki coffee celebrates the vibrant flavours of the upper eastern coffee-growing region of Embu. Named after the Swahili word for "east," Mashariki is the product of 3,400 smallholder farmers, each tending to around 200 coffee trees. Beyond exceptional taste, Mashariki embodies sustainability, with cooperatives protecting indigenous trees thats sustain local birdlife, and treating water to prevent downstream contamination. 

As our first and only light roast of 2024, Mashariki highlights the crisp apple acidity and natural brightness of the SL34 varietal, offering a perfect complement to our medium and dark roast selections.
